The Big Sheep

Big canvas of beautiful herdwick sheep.   They have such individual characters, and did you know that as they age, their fur lightens.  They are born completely dark, lightening in the face first!   

This is early spring before the weather has improved much, so the light is gentle, while the first spring flowers and leaves are beginning to brighten our lives.

This is Acrylic, with oil pastel over the top in places and is  a little over 3 foot by 4 foot, framed with a lovely rustic frame.
