The Dawn Chorus is a magnificent event every morning, especially in early Summer.

These paintings are inspired by the sounds and feelings of elation that we feel when we are truly grateful for being alive!

Paintings inspired by rural dorset

Living in a small Dorset Village on top of a hill, with 4 children, 3 cats and 1 dog gives a unique perspective of the world. I find life can be too busy and overwhelming. When I paint, I find peace and joy. I want to share these experiences to make the world easier to live in.

Key word for 2023 is Simplify. Life can be incredibly complicated and stressful. By weighing up what is most important, and making time for it, cutting out anything that doesn't bring my family value and a sense of connection I hope to acheive a more simple state within. I ask for God's grace to help us with this.

Some of my work is more abstract, others more realistic, but always focusing on my immediate surroundings and the impression they have on me.
